When it comes to portable generators Honda seems to have the market. They have a handy range of generators that are not just quiet but lightweight and compact making them easy to take anywhere. And who couldn't use generator theses days. Whether you like camping, boating or just like the peace of mind incase of a natural disaster.

The Honda EU series has what they call the Eco-Throttle feature. This system has a load-dependent speed control-type governor that automatically adjusts the engine speed to the optimum level depending on the usage load. This is very nice as it reduces fuel consumption and operation noise. It also keeps the exhaust emission to levels that clear the strictest CARB and EPA emission standards.

One of the other features that make the Honda EU series so nice is the Honda Inverter Technology. This is really nice if you want to power your laptop using one of these units, as it will create "clean power" preventing a surge of energy to your computer.

The Honda generator EU series is one of the quietest generators on the market today. They are extremely portable due to being lightweight. They are very fuel-efficient and depending on the model you chose can run anywhere from 8.3 hours to 25 hours on a single tank of gas. They are also easy to start.

When running they only produces about 59dB of sound at 7 meters when running on full load.

And get this...if the oil drops below a safe operating level the unit will turn itself off preventing damage to the generator.

These units have a DC terminal. This comes in handy for charging 12-volt automotive type batteries.

The power that these units put out makes them optimal for typical electronic devices such as small kitchen appliance, power tools, TV's, radios, roof top RV air conditioners and many more. This makes them ideal for power outages.

Here is a list of the different models in the EU series that Honda offers.

  • Honda EU10i
  • Honda EU20i
  • Honda EU26i
  • Honda EU03i
